Shenandoah Mountain Touring and Massanutten Resort paired up this past weekend to throw a bike race party - the Hoo Ha - with an Enduro Saturday and XC/XXC races on Sunday. The Saturday Enduro served as a perfect warm-up for this weekend's upcoming Shenduro - (go to http://www.shenduro.com/ for more details, all the cool kids are doing it!). Some racey DH and sprinting action amped up the legs of the brave few who rallied for both days of racing.
Sunday was the 27th annual Hoo Ha XC race. The course covered a few of the newer trails above the pond at the Western Slopes right at the beginning, which added in some more steep climbing and flowing descents. By far my favorite Hoo Ha course to date!
Team SBC dominated the Enduro podium on Saturday, and represented very well on Sunday. Sam took the Enduro win for the boiz, and I took it for the girlz. On Sunday, I won the women's XC, Thomas took 4th in the 40+ Expert XC class, and Kyle took 3rd in the Men's XXC race!
Two races in one weekend wears on the body, but the pain is only mere training the Shenduro this weekend, and for the most important race of the year coming up in just a few weeks - The Tour de Burg!
