It is the time of year again when we sit in front of computers and scheme about all of the fun activities we want to do in the coming warm season. I want to plant some flags in your calendars. The dates for this year's bicycle campouts are:
- April 16-17
- May 21-22
- August 20-21
- October 22-23
Routes and destinations are an ongoing conversation and I would love your input. What were your favorite and least favorite trips and camp spots over the last couple of years? If you've read all of this and you feel excited, but unfamiliar with the topic, here is the skinny: For the last two years, SBC has hosted 24ish hour bicycle tours to go to some treasured campsites on excellent mixed pavement and gravel routes. Our goal is for everybody to have fun with whatever bike and gear they have. You needn't be an experienced tourist or have a dedicated touring bike. If you want to make a fire and sleep outside in the middle of a bike ride through the valley, we will help you figure out the rest. Click here for some stories of bygone campouts.
