27 February 2012

Another week starting off with a good outlook on great riding temps! That is, if you're into bike riding and other expressions of freedom. Kurt went adventuring on Great North Mountain to Church Rock, David Lee and fellow Team Spaghetti legs pro rider Scott Wootten shredded the Western Slope. Tim gave Collin a taste of fear by hitting some trails on motorized machines, Brraaaap! Jason is in the process of building up a new mountain bike. Thomas headed North to Vermont in search of actual winter conditions for some snowboarding. Kyle is still out in the woods somewhere fighting for the rights of mountain bikes. In other words , SBC is having fun, are you? here's a glimpse of Cathedral Rock, the central energy vortex of  Sedona Arizona, the Highline trail is in the lower foreground, Proper!

Warm Winter Nights...Great time for playing!

These warm winter nights have made it so much more inviting for night riding. Think about grabing a friend or two and hitting the trails in the dark, even though with the latest lights it does not seem like night. SBC has been super happy with Light and Motion lights, a US company, you can always stop in to DEMO a set!

Could of, would of, should of!! Super Bowl Sunday Ride 2012!

It was a beauty on the mountain and in terms of winter conditions it was probably one of the more forgiving years that one can remember. A fresh layer of white, deep mud holes, no wind..what more could you ask for, thanks to the 60+ crowd that show up for the annual kick off to the 2012 riding season.

Super Bowl Ride Count Down....Film Fundraiser for SVBC on Tuesday!

We are on the eve of Super Bowl Sunday which means look out for Super Heros to be invading Harrisonburg as they get ready  to use their powers to tackel Shenandoah Mountain. This ride (Ride from Briery Branch Community Center at 10am or Mr J's Route 42 South at 8:30am) has a long history in the Harrisonburg cycling book.  These 3 gentleman below have over 50 super bowl rides between them, hopefully they will notch another one this year.
