Red Wing Music Festival

Looking for something fun to do this weekend?

Check out the Red Wing Roots Music Festival at Natural Chimney's Park. The venue is totally family-friendly, the vendors look awesome, and with 40 performers and 4 stages, the music looks like it will be stunning. Tickets for this Americana music spectacular can be bought online for all-weekend or single-days.

This festival is all presented to you by The Steel Wheels. The Red Wing Festival is actually named after their break out album Red Wing.
So, what makes this group of guys news-worthy on a bike blog?

For the past three years The Steel Wheels have been doing a little biking of their own.

During their annual SpokeSongs tour, these amazing guys tour only via bicycle. They haul all of their own equipment too, even the bass! You can check out their travel here on their blog. This past year's tour the band also took part in many different charitable bike rides.

Another thing that makes these guys worth supporting is they support us. Yes, The Steel Wheels don't just sing about the roots they have within their community, they support them as well. they even get their band T-shirts made in downtown Harrisonburg. Their commitment to supporting local businesses, artisans and charities proves that they work above and beyond to emphasize the importance of roots.

For more information about this phenomenal group of guys, check out this video put together by our own talented member of staff, Scott Wooten. See more of Scott's amazing video work here.
