Winter Riding...Higher you get the better it is!

When the forecast is calling for winter conditions make sure you hit the upper elevations of Shenandoah Mountain. It is here, on the 4000' ridges  of Western Virginia, where you will escape the "wintery mix" that always plagues the Valley and find the drier, white stuff that smooth's out all the bumps in the trail. This past Sunday the conditions on Reddish Knob, and the upper 1500' of Timber Ridge were perfect for fat tire fun.  Don't let the Valley fool you, make sure you go high on those questionable winter days!
